What we do
We aim at enhancing good governance and functionality of the DSMF organizational systems. DSMF is founded for by a single mother and for single mothers. The majority of BOD members and staff are single mothers, have been single mothers or born and raised by single mothers. DSMF believes that having staff that are single mothers will create a passionate team, employment and leadership growth for single mothers .As a result of our organizational and leadership development, our members will continue their leadership journey to advocate and steward growth and development for single mothers and their children. DSMF will build BOD and staff capacity for effective management and implementation of programs. DSMF works and supports single mothers taking on leadership positions in our communities. DSMF supported one single mother, NAKAZIBWE FARIDA in 2021 local council elections. Farida is now a lady councilor LC3, in zirobwe. The BOD and staff through workshops and volunteer works, will be trained in Monitoring and Evaluation, use of software, Documentation, Partnerships and Networking, Team building, resource mobilization, and community engagement.
